Product description: For a luminaire to be suitable for the food industry, it must comply with specific regulations and requirements that ensure hygiene, safety, and resistance to demanding environments (humidity, chemical products, frequent cleaning, etc.).

Below are some of the requirements that must be met:

1. Minimum technical conditions for lighting systems in Colombia. RETILAP.
2. They must not pose a contamination risk. NSF Splash Zone 2, NSF P442, ISO 14644-1.
3. Luminaire marking (as applicable). RETILAP, IEC 60598-1, NTC 2230.
4. Luminaires must be designed to prevent any fragments from falling onto food. NSF Splash Zone 2, Decree 3075 of 1997.
5. IP65 or higher: protection against dust and water jets (to prevent moisture or insect ingress). IEC 60529 / EN 60529, NSF Splash Zone 2, NSF P442, ISO 14644-1.
6. IP69K: resistance to high-pressure and high-temperature water cleaning (ideal for washdown areas). IEC 60529 / EN 60529, NSF Splash Zone 2, NSF P442, ISO 14644-1.
7. IK07 or higher. IEC 62262 / EN 62262.
